Affected serial numbers range from KC21032D010001 to KC21327N999999.
These mowers were sold between February 2021 and January 2025 at prices ranging from $500 to $700 in the US. They were available at Home Depot, Direct Tools Factory Outlet stores, and online via http://www.homedepot.com and http://www.directtoolsoutlet.com. Manufactured by TTI Outdoor Power Equipment Inc. in Anderson, South Carolina, these units have since been flagged as a safety hazard.
Safety Concerns and Reported Incidents
Approximately 217,500 units of the recalled mowers were sold in the U.S., with an additional 28,400 units distributed in Canada. To date, TTI Outdoor Power Equipment has received 97 reports of overheating, including five incidents of fires. Fortunately, only two minor burn injuries have been reported.
